Jeff Johnson

“Energetic”, “Positive”, “Insightful”, “An Entertainer”, “A True Educator”, “Just Plain Fun”. These are just a few of the ways Peachtree TV’s Executive Director of Community Affairs Jeff Johnson or “JJ” has been described in over thirty years in the entertainment, film/television, radio, promotional and sport marketing industries.

In his current role, “Jeff” is charged with serving as the public face of Peachtree TV, hosting a Sunday morning community affairs show called, “JJ on Atlanta” and creating outreach initiatives geared to the Atlanta community. “ I am truly looking forward to being a part of Atlanta through Peachtree TV. It going be a lot of fun!”

Johnson has been a popular arena announcer for the NBA’s Charlotte Hornets, the Charlotte Bobcats and the NFL’s Carolina Panthers, as well as a much-sought-after host for major events. He has been featured in numerous national and regional educational and developmental home videos for families. In addition to his television work, Johnson is a motivational speaker, speaking to hundreds of schools and civic and professional organizations on the value of a good education and the importance of having a positive outlook on life.

Jeff excelled in school as a student leader and athlete. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Appalachian State University and completed graduate studies at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. In the sports arena, Johnson played football on both the high school and college level and was a nationally ranked discus thrower. He also competed as a professional snow ski racer. He is an accomplished vocalist and musician, playing a variety of instruments including guitar, saxophone, keyboard and percussions.
