![]() Not a lot of work, but a whole lot of fun. The Office depicts the everyday lives of office employees in the Scranton branch of the Dunder Mifflin Paper Company in documentary style. There are numerous confessional scenes and scenes shot through closed doors or hidden locations to create the idea that the show is truly a documentary. Working 9-to-5 in this office is anything but boring. Regional manager Michael Scott insists on making the work place fun by organizing singles mixers, office awards known as The Dundees, a roast (of himself) among other non-work related events during work hours. He describes himself as a friend first, a boss second and an entertainer third who whole heartedly tries to be everyone’s super cool boss. Unfortunately his efforts often leave him looking desperate and pathetic. The Office is an American adaptation of the hugely successful original British version of The Office. The show was developed by executive producer Greg Daniels, renown for his work as writer on Saturday Night Live. |
