Earl Hickey lived a life of petty crime until he gets hit by a car and loses his unclaimed winning lottery ticket. While heavily medicated in hospital recovery, Earl discovers the meaning of karma when watching a television show. This discovery of karma serves as his epiphany and motivates him to turn his life around. Earl makes a list of every bad deed he’s ever done and atones for each one by doing a good deed. Beginning with the loss of his 100,000 lottery fortune, Earl begins his quest on moral redemption by doing one good deed for every bad one.
