![]() From skateboarder to actor, Southern California native Jason Lee began his climb to acting fame performing skateboard tricks in music videos. This unconventional entry into world of television led him to pursue a fulltime acting career. Lee’s early works include movies such as Kevin Smith’s Mallrats and Chasing Amy, for which he received an Independent Spirit Award for his performance. After catching the eye of other top Hollywood directors, Lee landed roles in films such as Almost Famous and Vanilla Sky. Most recently, Lee is known for his role as Earl Hickey, the trailer trash crook on a quest to change his karma in My Name is Earl. In this performance, Lee has received a Spirit Award, as well as nominations for both Golden Globe and Sag Awards In 2006, Lee decided to step into the role of director in the short film, The White Door. |
