WEDNESDAY

City of Dunwoody is hosting Firefly Poetry & Open Mic Night at The Spot on Dunwoody Park.

PETA’s large exhibit titled “Without Consent,” featuring 24 panels of nearly 200 photographs of animal experiments, goes on display on the Atlanta BeltLine’s eastside trail near Kroger.

Town + Culture presents “How We Become,” featuring the work of 5 Atlanta-based female artists with a diverse mix of artwork, through May 22 at The Works ATL.

THURSDAY

The Bring It Outside! Family Festival is happening at Rodney Cook Sr. Park on Vine Street NW. The family-friendly event features hikes, nature crafts, free outdoor gear, bilingual games and activities, a lending library baby gear and more.

The Taste of Alpharetta featuring more than 60 restaurants offering appetizers, entrees and desserts is happening 5 to 10 p.m.

Comedy in The Camp is back with local showrunner and comedian Damon Sumner and other local comedians at The Works ATL. Content is rated M for mature.

Screen on the Green presents a family-friendly movie on the jumbotron at Atlantic Green. Movie trivia at 6:30 p.m., movie at 7.

Overtime Elite Takeover, a two-day basketball experience featuring the nation’s most talented and influential female high school players, is happening at Atlantic Station.

The 2nd annual Bringing the Sea to the Springs Festival, featuring fresh seafood, live music, arts & crafts and more, is happening in Powder Springs for 3 days.

DJ and producer Kayzo performs at Tabernacle Atlanta. Kayzo is known for remixing songs and incorporating trap and hardstyle genres into his mixes.

The two-day 13th annual Chastain Park Spring Arts & Crafts Festival is happening on Stella Drive. Arts and crafts, children’s area, local gourmet food and live music.

Drag Queen Story Hour is back at Wren’s Nest on Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard SW. Admission also includes historic house tours.

The 2nd annual Porchfest with 70 bands on porches and in driveways in Virginia Highland is happening. The day will kick off with the Rock n Run.
