ATLANTA, Ga. (CBS46) - The annual Summerfest in the historic Virginia-Highland neighborhood will kick off this year with a family-friendly party.
The Friday Night Kick-off Party will take place on June 10 from 6 to 10 p.m. near Barnett Street in John C. Howell Park (797 Virginia Avenue NE). Attendees will enjoy live performances by The Unmentionables and the Backyard Birds while sampling cuisine from local favorite food trucks with a variety of fare for purchase, including Sweet Auburn BBQ, Yumbii, Hot Dog Pete’s and The Cereal Lab. There will be plenty of fun activities for kids as well.
- *General Admission: $25 ($35 after May 20), includes entrance and access to cash bar
- *VIP: $500 for a table of 10, also includes two drink tickets per person, raffle tickets and a goodie bag
- Kids 12 and younger: $10
- Kids 2 and younger: Free
*For guests 21and older, tickets include Tip Top Proper Cocktails, Ciroc Vodka Spritz and Crown Royal craft cocktails. Complimentary Coke Zero Sugar is also included. All proceeds from the party support the park renovation.
Following the kick-off party, the 38th-annual Virginia-Highland Summerfest will be held on June 11 from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. in Atlanta’s intown neighborhood. The festival will include fine art, a makers’ market and lots more live music, including a performance from headliners Futurebirds. Admission to Summerfest is free!
