Happy Mama, Happy Mini, Inc. spreads mental health awareness

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Local not-for-profit organization Happy Mama, Happy Mini, Inc. serves mothers and children in the community by providing support and education on mental health awareness.

Following her own traumatic experience with domestic violence and her daughter with child abuse, Nichelle Wilson was inspired to found the organization.

The organization’s purpose and mission is to offer a network and a community-based environment for a happy, healthy mama so that she can be strong mentally, spiritually and emotionally for a happy and healthy mini.

The Inaugural Hannah Marie Golf Classic will be honoring the late Anita Handshaw Wyatt, who introduced Wilson’s daughter Hannah Marie to the adventures of golf. They will be partnering with ‘Seth’s Soldiers’, which is an organization created to foster the philanthropic efforts of self-advocating young children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

The organization hopes to expose Happy Mini’s to the game of golf, raise scholarship money for Happy Mini’s and bring the village together to support the awareness of mental health impact within the community.

Wilson shares more information about her organization as well as the event with Atlanta News First.
