ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Kiana Dancie is widely known as a comedian and actress — but her new women’s empowerment event leans on the serious side.
Baggage Claim comes to Atlanta Comedy Theater’s underground location on Saturday, July 22. From 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., women will be free to inspect their problems and let go, said Dancie. Singer Zaviel Janae and poet Theresa the S.O.N.G.B.I.R.D. will also perform.
“Baggage claim is a safe destination for women to claim, heal and release any emotional baggage that we have ever carried,” Dancie said.
Dancie is also the founder of B.A.G.S., a nonprofit organization that looks to connect women to mental health resources.
