ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - The Stellar Awards air this weekend — and a gospel singer-songwriter from Atlanta was one of the biggest winners of the night!
Jekalyn Carr came to Atlanta News First to talk about her five awards: Traditional Female Artist of the Year, Albertina Walker of the Year, Traditional Album of the Year, Traditional Artist of the Year, and Recorded Music Packaging of the Year for the cover art on her newest self-titled album.
Carr’s next major release is “Jekalyn Carr Presents... The Inspiration Project,” an album featuring songs recorded with various other artists, including Emoni Wilkins, Jericho Worship and Timothy Rogers. The project comes out on Sept. 6.
The Stellar Awards premiere on the Stellar Network between July 29 and Aug. 2. Then, it hits other channels from Aug. 10 to Sept. 8. Bounce TV airs the special between Aug. 31 and Sept. 8.
