ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Sunday marks the start of Atlanta’s 8th annual Black Restaurant Week!

Warren Luckett, the event’s founder, came to Atlanta News First to explain its origins. The week first started in Houston in 2016, but it has since moved to other cities and regions, he said.

Despite its name, Black Restaurant Week actually runs for two weeks from Aug. 4-18. Visit the organization’s website to search through a list of more than 100 Black-owned businesses in Atlanta.
