ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month — and once again, Atlanta News First is a sponsor of the city’s annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk!
Held by the American Cancer Society, the walk aims to raise money for research, patient services, prevention and education. The event is moving back to Atlantic Station this year after previously being held downtown.
In 2024, the American Cancer Society projects there will be about 311,000 new breast cancer diagnoses in the United States. On average, a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer every two minutes in the U.S.
Atlanta’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk starts at 9 a.m. at Atlantic Station’s Pinnacle Lot on Saturday. Click here for more information.
