ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Shaky Knees Music Festival has a new home — and new dates in 2025.

Traditionally, the festival has been held in May. Over the past several years, its home was Central Park in Atlanta.

After hearing crickets for several months on social media, the festival finally announced it would be back from Sept. 19-21 at Piedmont Park in Midtown.

No lineup has been released yet.

With these dates and this location, most would speculate that Music Midtown, also traditionally in September at Piedmont Park, is done. The festival announced last year that it would be on “hiatus” in 2024 after three decades. The account has not had any social media interactions since that announcement in May.

“We are excited to welcome Shaky Knees to Piedmont Park this September,” said Piedmont Park Conservancy President and CEO Doug Widener. “As Atlanta’s favorite green space, Piedmont Park is the ideal setting for this iconic music festival, bringing together locals and visitors to celebrate our city’s vibrant arts and culture. Hosting Shaky Knees highlights the Park’s role as a premier destination for world-class events while supporting the Conservancy’s mission to preserve and enhance Atlanta’s green beating heart.”
