ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Barbie has been a cultural icon since the late ‘50s, gradually shifting to include a broader definition of beauty — and soon at Atlanta’s airport, travelers will get to see that evolution in person.

Best known as an Emmy-nominated playwright and performer, Stepp Stewart came to Atlanta News First to talk about his private Barbie collection. He owns more than 100 Barbies and said the brand is a nostalgic representation of “Americana.”

The collaboration is part of the ATL Airport Art program, which puts various artworks on display throughout the airport. You can see the Barbie exhibit next month.
