Here’s all the new players on the Atlanta Braves in 2025

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Several new faces have joined the Atlanta Braves ranks, joining Atlanta’s home team hungry for another World Series title.

How many new players are on the Braves this year?

It’s a lucky number. Seven new players have been signed on to the team.

Who are the new players?

Nick Allen

Position: Infielder

A San Diego native, Allen has played in over 200 games in his MLB career. His MLB career stats include 146 hits and nine homeruns in 709 at bats.

Drake Baldwin

Position: Catcher

This is Baldwin’s first major league season. He made his debut at the Opening Day game in San Diego against the Padres on March 27. At just 24 years old, he is considered the top prospect for the Braves this season.

Bryan De La Cruz

Position: Outfielder

De La Cruz made his professional debut in 2021 with the Miami Marlins. He was signed to the Braves as a free agent in December 2024. In his MLB career, he’s accumulated 427 hits and 58 home runs in over 400 games.

Enyel De Los Santos

Position: Right-hand pitcher

De Los Santos was assigned to the Gwinnett Strippers briefly before making the switch as a free agent to the Braves in December 2024. He was invited as a non-roster starter to spring training in January before the Braves selected his contract in March.

Héctor Neris

Position: Right-hand pitcher

Neris made his debut in 2014. He was signed on as a free agent to the Braves in March for spring training before the team selected his contract from the Gwinnett Strippers. He has 741 strikeouts in his MLB career.

Neris allowed five earned runs in one inning of work across two games in 2025. Atlanta designated Neris for assignment on March 31.

Jurickson Profar

Position: Outfielder

Since making his debut in 2012, Profar has had an expansive MLB career. He has played in over 1,100 games and has recorded 920 hits, 111 home runs and 444 RBIs.

On March 31, Profar was suspended for 80 games after he tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs.

José Suarez

Position: Left-handed pitcher

Suarez was traded to the Braves in March. Since making his debut in 2019, he’s pitched in over 300 innings and has a career 5.45 ERA and 350 strikeouts.
