Study: Truist Park ranked one of the most homer-friendly stadiums in Major League Baseball

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - With the Atlanta Braves gearing up for the home opener on April 4, a study shows Atlanta’s Truist Park is one of the more home run-friendly parks in Major League Baseball.

In a study done by Rotowire, which tallies the most regular season home runs in each ballpark by both the home and away teams since 2020, Truist Park comes in at No. 5 in the league with 899 home runs.

Ahead of Truist Park is Cincinnati’s Great American Ball Park (1,031), New York’s Yankee Stadium (991), Los Angeles’ Dodger Stadium (987) and Los Angeles’ Angel Stadium (924). Rounding out the top 10 is Texas’ Globe Life Field (898), Philadelphia’s Citizens Bank Park (896), Colorado’s Coors Field (894), Toronto’s Rogers Centre (887) and Minnesota’s Target Field (885).

Truist Park is the third-highest park -- in terms of elevation -- in baseball, behind Coors Field and Arizona’s Chase Field.

The Braves have had a power-heavy lineup dating to their 2021 World Champion team, donning sluggers such as Ronald Acuña Jr., Austin Riley, Matt Olson and Marcell Ozuna throughout the years.

Riley hit 135 home runs from 2020-24, Acuña hit 98, Ozzie Albies hit 87. Upon his arrival from Oakland in 2022, Olson hit 117 home runs -- including a 54-homer season in 2022 -- in three seasons combined. Atlanta came second in the league in home runs in 2020 (103), third in 2021 (239), second in 2022 (243), first -- by a 58-homer margin -- in 2023 (307) and fourth in 2024 (213).

The Braves have started the 2025 campaign out of the gutter, producing no offense and falling to an 0-6 record as of Wednesday. Atlanta wraps up its three-game set against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday before getting a rest day on Thursday.

Atlanta will open a three-game series against the Miami Marlins at Truist Park on Friday.
