Here’s how you can volunteer for the Atlanta Pride Parade and Festival The Atlanta Pride Committee is gearing up for the largest free pride parade and festival in the southeast, taking place Oct. 11-12 at Piedmont Park.

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - It’s the last day of Pride Month, but festivities are still ahead for Atlanta.

The Atlanta Pride Committee is gearing up for the largest free Pride parade and festival in the southeast, taking place Oct. 11-12 at Piedmont Park.

Atlanta Pride Executive Director Chris McCain joined Atlanta News First to talk about this year’s theme, “Rooted in Resistance” and marking the organization’s 55th anniversary.

He also revealed the 2025 grand marshals:

  • Dr. Christy Perez: Afro-Latina trans theologian, historian and abolitionist.
  • Jere Chang: Atlanta-based educator and content creator with nearly 4 million followers.
  • Lena Lust: Legendary drag performer with a career spanning nearly five decades.
  • Pals Atlanta: Provides pet food and veterinary care for individuals living with HIV/AIDS, cancer and other challenges. 
  • Raquel Willis: Award-winning author and activist, executive producer for iHeartMedia’s Outspoken Podcast Network. 
  • Richard Ramey: Owner of the Atlanta Eagle and the Flower Cottage.
  • Shannon Bradley-May: HIV/AIDS advocate for nearly 30 years.
  • Russ Youngblood: Longtime community photographer and journalist who has documented Atlanta’s LGBTQ+ life since the 1990s.
