ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - As the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year approaches, the Newton County Sheriff’s Office is holding a school supplies drive!
Deputies Michael Greg, Tim Smith and Kim Cox came to Atlanta News First to talk about the department’s “Fill the Bus” campaign. They said the effort is part of the sheriff’s office’s Deputies Who Care program, which has been supporting the community through multiple events for 14 years.
It’s that time of the year again, Newton County! You can donate school supplies from Friday, July 18, through Sunday, July 20, at the Walmart Supercenter on Salem Road in Covington. Donation hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
