ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - In the United States, more than 20,000 women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer every year — but many people don’t know the risks or symptoms.
That’s why this Saturday’s Teal Trot at Chastain Park aims to raise awareness of the disease. Atlanta Fire Chief Rod Smith, who sits on the Georgia Ovarian Cancer Alliance’s Board of Directors, came to Atlanta News First to talk about the event.
The 2025 Georgia Ovarian Cancer Alliance Teal Trot 5K is on Sept. 20 at 9:30 a.m. Click here for registration information.
