ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - He’s known in Hollywood as the “Emperor of Hair,” and now he’s returning to television with a new reality competition.
Renowned hair stylist Elgin Charles, who rose to fame through his 2011 VH1 docuseries Beverly Hills Fabulous, is set to debut his new series, “Hair Camp.”
Contestants will undergo rigorous challenges testing their styling skills, business acumen, and community impact as they compete for a $25,000 grant. The money will go towards opening or renovating their very own salon, ongoing mentorship from the hair emperor himself, licensing rights-granting use of the prestigious Elgin Charles brand name, and a signature hair care line.
Charles’ client list includes Diahann Carroll, Angela Bassett, Gabrielle Union, Kim Kardashian, Joan Collins, Drew Barrymore, Serena Williams, Lala Anthony, as well as Tia and Tamera Mowry.
“Hair Camp” will stream exclusively on “Blacktivity” in 2026.
