ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Legendary singer-songwriter Sting is coming to Atlanta.
The Rock & Roll Hall of Famer will perform at Synovus Bank Amphitheater at Chastain Park on Friday, May 15, as part of a new spring leg of his “STING 3.0″ North American tour, a spokesperson announced Monday.
Sting, the former lead singer, bassist and principal songwriter for the iconic rock trio The Police, is also fronting a three-piece group for his current tour, playing alongside longtime guitarist and collaborator Dominic Miller and drummer Chris Maas, who’s also worked with Mumford & Sons.

In Atlanta, the trio will deliver “a powerful and intimate concert experience,” reinterpreting the 17-time Grammy winner’s “most celebrated songs and deep cuts through the lens of a tight three-piece arrangement,” Sting’s spokesperson said.
Members of Sting’s fan club will have first access to tickets beginning on Tuesday, Nov. 4, at sting.com, with more presales throughout the week.
The general on-sale will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 7, at sting.com.
