ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A local nonprofit is inspiring hope in women living with ovarian cancer. Survivors of the disease are taking to the runway to raise money for the Georgia Ovarian Cancer Alliance.
The 16th annual “Teal to Heal Fashion Show” features models who are all cancer survivors and members of their support teams.
The Georgia Ovarian Cancer Alliance’s mission is to increase awareness and provide education about the risks and symptoms of ovarian cancer.
Sheena Virji and Jessica Kollars, co-chairs for the event, joined Atlanta News First to talk about the upcoming show.
