ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Three-time Olympian and gold medalist Dee Dee Trotter is helping people affected by SNAP benefit disruptions following the longest shutdown in US history.

The track-and-field athlete turned professional baker recently launched Gifted Harvest, a food assistance program and the latest initiative from her non-profit “Running for the People.” Eligible SNAP recipients experiencing food insecurity are welcomed to receive a $150 grocery gift card while they work to restore their benefits.
