ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — December marks National HIV/AIDS Awareness Month, bringing focus to prevention efforts in metro Atlanta, where more than 40,000 people are living with HIV.
Nathan Hale Williams, an Emmy-nominated producer, director and writer, came to Atlanta News First to talk about his work with Gilead Sciences, a company that helps prevent and test for HIV.
On Friday, the group will host “Cultural Architects & Torchbearers: Then, and Now,” an event that raises HIV awareness and tells the story of queer visionaries through artistic performances at Illuminarium Atlanta. Click here for more information.
