ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A local non-profit is dedicating time and resources to advancing mitochondrial research.
The co-founder of Countdown for a Cure, Mitzi Solomon, founded the organization in 2024 after experiencing mitochondrial disease firsthand. Solomon’s organization is hosting an annual fundraising gala to help aid in research.
