Braves’ Chris Sale takes the mound in first Braves on Gray broadcast of the spring

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - The Atlanta Braves host the Minnesota Twins on Sunday, marking the first of 15 games broadcast live on Gray Media this spring.

The game was delayed but will begin at 2:05 p.m., the Braves said.

Southpaw Chris Sale will get the start after recording a 2.58 ERA and 165 strikeouts in 125.2 innings last season. He spent time on the injured list last season after injuring his rib during a diving defensive play.

Sunday’s game will also include a special pregame moment, as Braves legend Andruw Jones will throw out the ceremonial first pitch. Jones was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in January. A video tribute honoring the former Brave has been playing on a loop throughout the month at CoolToday Park.
