Looking ahead to the Braves’ 2026 schedule

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Every year, the sun shines, the grass grows and the Atlanta Braves take the field for another 162-game marathon. Over those 162 games, we will find out just how good the team is and how much hope fans should have for the future, both immediate and distant.

Here’s a look at what the next 162 games have in store for the Atlanta Braves.

A strong April is needed

The Braves typically have strong Aprils. The team has gone .500 or better in April for three straight years, but they will need to continue that streak in 2026, because the NL East could come down to these April games.

The team will face division opponents in four straight series. The Miami Marlins will visit Atlanta on April 13-15. The Braves will head to Philadelphia to face the Phillies from April 17-19 followed by a four-game stretch against the Nationals in Washington, D.C., from April 20-23. The Phillies will then visit Atlanta from April 24-26.

These games will not be the only games against division opponents, but the Braves will not have as many consecutive games against division opponents for the rest of the season.

If the NL East division race is as tight as expected, the Braves will be kicking themselves in September if they don’t win these games in April.

On the road again...

The Braves will spend much of the season’s most crucial month on the road. Of the eight series the team will play in September, only three will be at Truist Park.

A similar situation will play out in May. The Braves will play just three home series in May, including two back-to-back from May 12-17.

August, however, will feature several home series. The Braves will host the Nationals, Mets and Marlins for key in-division series as well as the Los Angeles Dodgers, Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies.
