Georgia nonprofit supports families ahead of Autism Acceptance Month

Atlanta-based nonprofit raises Autism awareness It's Autism Acceptance Month. Dynamic Cares, Inc. joins Atlanta News First to talk about raising awareness.

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — In Georgia, about one in 40 children identified with Autism Spectrum Disorder, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

With April recognized as National Autism Acceptance Month, local organizations are working year-round to provide support, resources and education for families navigating Autism.

Dynamic Cares, Inc. Founder Darius Thomas and Chief Development Officer Hakeem White are leading efforts to empower both students and parents through programs focused on life skills and development.

Leaders say initiatives like this are critical in building stronger, more inclusive communities—ensuring individuals with autism and their families have access to the tools and support they need to thrive.

Their organization is preparing to host its second annual charity brunch, aimed at raising awareness and expanding services for families in need. The event will take place April 12 at the Georgia Aquarium.
