ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — The Atlanta Braves will resume play Wednesday at 2 p.m. against the San Francisco Giants after the game was postponed due to inclement weather the day before.
The game will air on Gray Media TV stations across the southeast.
The Giants are leading 3-2 and the Braves are batting in the bottom of the second inning. The teams waited it out, but after just under two hours of intermittent rain, the tarp came out and the game was suspended.
After coming out of Tuesday’s game with lower back tightness, Braves center fielder Michael Harris II left the game. Manager Walt Weiss said Harris would be evaluated Wednesday regarding his availability.
Weiss said the Braves will use a bullpen game for the 2 p.m. start. Rookie RHP JR Ritchie (1-1, 3.82 ERA) will pitch the second game Wednesday, set to start at 7:15 p.m.
