5 Braves named All-Star voting finalists

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — Five Braves players have been named finalists to start in the 2026 MLB All-Star Game.

Catcher Drake Baldwin, first baseman Matt Olson, second baseman Ozzie Albies and outfielders Ronald Acuña Jr. and Michael Harris II were named finalists.

Baldwin, Olson and Albies advanced to the second round of voting after being in the two vote getters at their positions in the first round. Acuña and Harris were among the top six outfielders.

Baldwin will face off against the Los Angeles Dodgers’ Will Smith; Olson will face off against Dodgers first baseman and former Braves player Freddie Freeman; Albies will face off the against Philadelphia Phillies’ Bryson Stott; Acuña and Harris are competing with Philadephia’s Brandon Marsh, the New York Mets’ Juan Soto and the Dodgers’ Andy Pages and Teoscar Hernandez.

The top vote getters at each position will then be named starters for the 2026 MLB All-Star Game.

Phase two voting opens June 29 at noon and closes July 2.

The All-Star Game is set for July 14 at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.
