Sports Anchor/Reporter
Aaron Ladd joined the WANF Sports team in September 2024 and is very happy to be reporting near his hometown of Stone Mountain. Aaron comes to Atlanta News First by way of Kansas City, Missouri -- where he worked as Weekend Sports Anchor at KSHB 41, covering the Chiefs' back-to-back Super Bowl title run and much more. Aaron graduated from the University of Missouri School of Journalism with a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism in May 2018. While in school he worked as a news reporter at KOMU 8, the NBC affiliate in Columbia, Missouri and lead intern for ZOUNation Magazine. Upon graduation, Aaron served as a Digital Journalist for WMBF News in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina -- covering sports, news and manning the digital desk. A graduate of Parkview High School in Lilburn, Aaron's fire for journalism and communication sparked early, serving as editor-in-chief for the student newspaper. Aaron is also a proud member of the National Association of Black Journalists and considers himself an ‘NABJ baby’, growing up inside the organization and earning a national scholarship in 2014. Outside of work, Aaron enjoys going to concerts, running clubs and beer.
