Milwaukie Porchfest connects neighbors, builds community with live music

Porchfest involves houses across Milwaukie hosting bands who perform on front porches. The community is encouraged to walk or bike through the neighborhoods and hang out on front lawns to watch the free shows.

Jeanette Owen, a founder of Porchfest, joins FOX 12 Now to talk about how it works and what to expect for this year's event.

Concerts take place on every remaining Friday evening in July.
